A Medical Massage Therapy associate degree will help you give therapeutic relief.

The program is designed to provide you with the skills needed to assess and treat specific disorders through various modalities for soft tissue manipulation and stretching techniques; to communicate with and direct clients on how to manage and maintain their own health and wellness; how to maintain a high standard of ethics and professionalism when dealing with clients; and ways to establish a medical massage therapy practice with guidelines on business plans, networking, marketing, record keeping and client retention. Graduates of this program will be prepared to meet the increasing demand by clients for alternative therapies that medical massage therapists can provide. Medi-spas and doctors in a variety of specialties employ medical massage therapists. Many medical massage therapists are employed in rehabilitation centers, but you may enjoy the freedom of being self-employed. Massage therapists working in spas and salons are able to help a wider range of clients after studying medical massage techniques. Our program can be completed in 15 months for students in our day classes, or 24 months for those taking evening courses.

The Medical Massage Therapy AAS degree program is approved by the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Massage Therapy. Spencerian College is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association Council of Schools.

You will be taught by experienced instructors who are active in the field. An externship experience will expose you to potential employers, and you'll receive excellent preparation for license and certification exams. Most medical massage students license after completing the diploma requirements and begin practice while learning new techniques that they can use immediately in their practice.
