A Medical Administrative Assistant diploma shows you how to work in a physician's office.
The medical administrative assistant is an asset to physicians in private practice or other outpatient clinical settings. They perform administrative procedures such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, billing and collections, insurance verification and precertification, maintaining medical records, and communicating with all patients and visitors. The purpose of this program is to prepare you to perform administrative duties in a variety of medical settings. Medical administrative assistants can find employment in physician offices, outpatient clinics and other similar facilities. Our program can be completed in nine months for students in our day classes, or in 15 months for those in our evening/online courses.
The Medical Administrative Assistant program provides an opportunity to gain entry-level experience on the administrative side of healthcare. Graduates who are interested in advancing their career opportunities may consider a variety of other non-clinical and clinical educational program options to further their education.
