Advance your career in the healthcare field with a Limited Medical Radiography diploma.
The objective of the Limited Medical Radiography diploma program is to prepare you to perform x-ray (radiographic) examinations in clinics, physicians' offices and urgent care centers. You will be able to prepare patients for radiographic examinations by explaining the procedure and by ensuring proper positioning of both the patient and the radiographic equipment. Upon graduation, you are eligible to apply to take the Kentucky State Limited Radiography exam through the Radiation Health Branch.
Please note that although the two are often confused, the Limited Medical Radiography program is not the Radiologic Technology program.
The Limited Medical Radiography diploma program is approved by the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT). Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography exam administered by KBMIRT.
