Admissions Process and Deadlines
An admissions representative will schedule a time to visit with you and answer questions.
There is no deadline for submitting the enrollment agreement. However, some of our programs have limited space and/or have a selective admissions process. Therefore, it is best to complete your enrollment agreement as early as possible to be considered before the date you anticipate starting your enrollment.
We conduct individual interviews and advise each person seeking admission. If you're from out of state, we may contact you by phone and in some cases, may arrange for a special visit.
In order to be accepted for admission to Spencerian, you must be a high school graduate or have a General Education Development (GED) certificate. Evidence of this can either be a transcript or a copy of the diploma/GED certificate. You are also required to demonstrate the appropriate aptitude for your anticipated area of study. Specialized programs have additional requirements. For more information, please contact our admissions office.
English as a Second Language Policy
All applicants whose native language is not English must submit TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores to demonstrate basic English proficiency. It is the your responsibility to obtain necessary information and forms, and to schedule and take the test by a date that will assure delivery of results to us by required deadlines. Only TOEFL scores of 500 (paper), 173 (computer-based), or 61 (internet based) will be considered for admission to any program in the college. For more information about TOEFL, visit www.ets.org.
Admission of International Students
Spencerian College encourages international understanding through intercultural exchange derived from the admission of qualified international students from countries throughout the world. The college's academic requirements for admission as described in other sections must be met. All necessary documents including academic records, financial certificate and proof of English language proficiency must be received before permission to enroll and the I-20 Form can be issued.
Applications received from international students will be reviewed on a competitive basis. Fulfillment of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the college. An effort will be made to admit students from a variety of countries.
